My teaching takes yoga as a spiritual practice with a focus on cultivating mindfulness, equanimity and compassion. The use of asana (poses) and pranayama (breathing techniques) is a method to achieve deeper meditation and not taken as ends in themselves. Yoga practice improves our strength and flexibility and help us gain body-mind awareness.
Weekly and drop-in classes are available in various Cambridge locations. Topics include the correct alignment and breathwork to enter each pose, bandha (energy lock), mudra (energy seal), kriya (cleansing technique), chakra awareness and meditation. I give variations and modifications for each individual to enter and deepen their own practice.

HATHA
Hatha yoga, meaning 'sun and moon' in Sanskrit, enhances the balance of the yin and yang energies present in all of us. Attention is brought to the specific breathing and energies required to go into each pose.
